20th & 21st JUNE 2026

We are pleased to announce that whilst remaining at the Pavilion Gardens the show will be expanding in 2026 by 50%

This larger show will include many more quality working layouts from across the UK than previously and be supported by a broader selection of tradestands. Our continuing support from the nations modelling societies, and guilds will be bolstered by involvement from some of the hobbies manufacturers and publishers.

Many new and exciting elements are set to be included which will be revealed over the coming year via our social media and in the modelling press. It is anticipated that full information will be available by Easter 26.

Moving to annually be on the third weekend in June takes us away from July’s Buxton music & arts Festival with which we have repeatedly buffeted against for local resources and exhibition space. It will also free up much needed parking and accommodation in the town improving access and choice for the growing needs of our show personnel and visitors.

Much work remains to be done in the coming months by our small but dedicated team, but we are looking forwards to the exciting opportunities the long planned expansion will bring with it.

We envisage over time this to be the first of a series of expansions to Railex Buxton, with the preliminary ground work already done in anticipation of such.

The Octagon with its tall glass walls and central ring of columns makes for an unique setting.
The adjacent Octagon lounge is a simpler but light and airy room.
The Pavillion Arts Centre is a state if the art multi use space equipped with a bar reception area, 2 stages and hall space fitted with the latest lighting and sound control. Which are easily converted into a large open room ideal for model railways.
The linking corridor for the three rooms. To the left is the Arts Centre and at the bottom of the stairs on the right is the Octagon Lounge and Octagon. There is also a lift to the right here connecting the two levels.
Stepping back a few feet from the previous image places us on St John’s Road outside the main entrance. Which has an adjacent bus stop and is a short walk from the railway station, town centre and car parking.
