OUR SHOW
RAILEX BUXTON saw railway modelling return to the town in July of 2022 after a long absence. It has quickly become a staple show in both regional and national exhibition calenders. Presenting 50+ stands including working model railways, society and clubs displays and an array of modelling demonstrators supported by the regions best retailers and specialists suppliers.
OURSELVES
The show is organised and run by a voluntary team of modellers self titled ‘the freinds of Railex Buxton’ who come from across the region and wider UK bringing a wealth of experience in building and exhibiting model railways. We are fortunate to be supported by many model and prototype railway societies and experts.
OUR AIMS
We endeavor to expand the awareness and access of our interest further, by staging our event in the expansive and welcoming public visitor attraction that is the ‘Octagon’ of Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens. By making our show as accessible and educational as possible; we hope that those who have yet to discover the fascinating and enduring pastime, and indeed art form, that is railway modelling, find it as enthralling as we do.
We invite you, young and old, experienced or not, to allow us to entertain and hopefully inspire you for a few hours. Either as part of a wider visit to Buxton or specifically to attend for a longer period, we are confident that you’ll be pleased you took the time to attend our event.
